Hopper Driver

Hello Future Hopper Drivers! 

The Hampton Hopper is looking for a few good experienced school bus and coach bus drivers to help operate new and preexisting routes. We have year round routes that operate 4 to 7 days a week. Immediate positions are available for various weekday shifts with potential for additional weekend and charter work opportunities throughout the year. We’re seeking both full-time and part-time drivers for a late February start date. Sample hours are morning (6:00-10:00 AM, 5 days) and afternoon (1:30-6:00 PM, 5 days).

The Hampton Hopper is a growing ground transportation provider on Long Island’s East End. Our mission is to provide residents and visitors safe, affordable bus transportation that riders can track on an app throughout the Hamptons.

Overall, we’re looking for quality, experienced drivers and are willing to work with applicants on pay if they’re the right fit.  We offer a competitive hourly rate and a positive, friendly work environment.  Our fleet of 14-32 passenger buses has just been completely updated and is one of the youngest fleets in the industry.

Applicants must hold a valid Commercial Drivers’ License (CDL) Class A or B, with P (passenger) and Air Brake endorsements. Being based on the East End is a plus, willingness to travel to the East End is a must, and  being familiar with the Hamptons is a big plus.  We also look favorably upon applicants who are friendly, personable, and are not afraid of technology.  If you’re afraid but willing to learn our operating system that’s cool too!  We can teach you!

Sales and Business Development Manager

Do you have experience in sales and business development?  Are you from, or do you live on the East End of Long Island?  Do you want to try something new where you can work for a small company, make your own schedule and hours, and be compensated and rewarded based on the work you do, and not how many hours your butt is stuck in an office chair?

At Hampton Hopper, we’ve been building the most fun and flexible company to work for on the East End since 2014!  We are part transportation, part technology, and part marketing company.  And we’re looking for the right person to help us drive our initiatives in sales, business development, and partnerships.  If that sounds too broad, and that makes you uncomfortable, then stop reading here!

This person will excel at forging and strengthening relationships and partnerships with local businesses and organizations to achieve several key goals:

  • Promote awareness of our company and brand
  • Promote awareness of the routes we already operate, with the goal of increasing usage and ridership
  • Exploring opportunities to expand the routes we operate with new stops, and potentially create new routes with new partners
  • Promote their businesses through our business in the form of bus wraps, interior advertising, product sampling, and co-branded digital and social promotions

Want to work part-time?  Great!  Have another job or career, but think you can still do great things for us on the side?  We’re in!  We gauge success based on how well you help us achieve the goals above.  And we are happy to have someone full time, but it will be up to you to show us that there is enough for you to do in terms of achieving those goals above to justify it.
